YOGA, meaning "to yoke" in Sanskrit, is a practice toward Self realization, and the journey one takes to get there. A consistent practice transforms the body, mind and spirit into greater peace and wellbeing. It becomes a personal journey as discovery of the Self is revealed.

There are many forms of practice toward deeper understanding and peace, yoga is one of these ways. Within yoga there are many different practices. Simplified, Hatha yoga is the practice of posture and breathing.

Alissa teaches Hatha yoga with people in person and online, in group and private sessions. The postures taught are appropriate for each student and what they are working with at the moment. Sessions are challenging enough to cultivate concentration and simple enough for each student to experience proficiency. 

Alissa sees the body and uses her knowledge of how it works and moves to tailor a practice for the yoga student, bringing them into more ease.
